The Buzz:
It’s after John (Owen Wilson) and Jenny (Jennifer Aniston)’s wedding, it’s snowy and cold and miserable, so they decide to move to Florida as part of Jenny’s “life plan”. To satisfy her broody thoughts, John takes the advice of his friend, Sebastian (Eric Dane) and gets her a puppy, completely oblivious to how much little Marley would change their lives forever.
Marley is an adorable Labrador, but that doesn’t stop him being mad and boisterous, chasing anything that moves and making a racket during thunderstorms. Despite this, he brings his owners closer together and there is soon a new member of the family on the way.
In this film, you are doing more than just watching it; you are being taken through the ups and downs of a typical couple’s life: getting married getting a pet, building a family and moving house a few times. It sounds boring, I know, but Marley is always there to cheer things up and make the audience laugh, while Owen Wilson’s quick wit and humour keeps it on its toes. However, with such a heart-warming tale, there is always a moment when things get teary, so get the tissues ready!
