The Buzz:
Is it just me, or are there suddenly a lot of 3D films coming out these days…?
Anyway, this particular 3D film, an average Californian woman called Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon), is suddenly struck by a meteor ON HER WEDDING DAY! This meteor contains something which makes her grow to 49 feet.
The government then take her away to a secret compound, where all the other monsters are kept. There, she meets Dr Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), who is in fact a Doctor who turned into a cockroach, B.O.B, a big blue blob with one eye (Seth Rogen), The Missing Link (Will Arnett) and a gigantic bug thing that looks like a hamster.
Aliens are trying to take over the world (they like doing that don’t they?) so it’s up to the team to fight them off.
I wasn’t disappointed by this film, as I expected, it was hilarious, particularly Hugh Laurie’s evil laugh and B.O.B innocent stupidness, however, I thought there would have been more things jumping out of the screen, seeing as it was a 3D film.
