Information, Advice and sources of support for young people in Suffolk

ChatHealth Textline is going

The ChatHealth School Nursing Teams Textline Service for 11-19 year olds is going and will no longer be available from around March 2024.
Suffolk County Council have made the hard decision to close the textline, and look at alternative options in order to help save money.

We know that the ChatHealth textline service is popular with schools and is a service that we promoted a lot on TheSource website as it allows young people in Suffolk to text a school nurse about any health concerns they have, which they can do so confidentially via the textline.
But not to worry, young people and parent/carers can still contact a school nurse for help with any health related queries which we will now have to do by contacting their Health Business Hub helpline on: 0345 607 8866 or by emailing: childrenshealth@suffolk.gov.uk

We will keep you posted on news about any changes to health support services for young people in Suffolk. For all available health support services and advice, please take a look at our ‘Body‘ and ‘Mind‘ sections.
