Government launches plan to help NEET young people
Employers including local councils will recieve £2200 for every young person who they offer training and work to; as part of a youth contract scheme announced today.
For employers to recieve the money they will be the young person they employ will need to stay with them for at least six months.
40,000 apprenticeships
Included in the youth contract is a plan to create 40,000 apprenticeships across England by offering small and medium-sized firms £1,500 payments per young person they employ.
