Get on board today - become a Member of the Youth Parliament for Suffolk (watch the video)

Elections happen in Suffolk in February for MYPs to start their term in March. Please get your nomination in by 7th January 2018.

To run for election, you will need to respond to a few questions and produce a short video or a written response.

You should have 3 things that you are passionate about and want to change. One of these issues must be selected from the top five Make Your Mark topics for Suffolk. Make Your Mark results here.

The three issues will form your manifesto, and will be what you work on during your time as an MYP among other things. You will be elected by other young people based on your manifesto.

What next?

1) Download the candidate information and nomination pack below. Complete the nomination form and video or written response (videos should be no longer than 2 minutes long, and written responses should be one side of A4.

5) You will have time to encourage young people to vote for you during the election period.

6) Voting will be open 12th - 23rd February - instructions to follow. Once voting closes, votes will then be collected and counted and the successful candidates will be notified. Good Luck!
