What does the Suffolk Children's Rights team do?
The Children's Rights team works with children and young people who are in care, looked after, care leavers and those who receive support from social care, to ensure they are able to have their say in all matters affecting their lives.

The Children's Rights team has two main purposes. Advocacy and participation.

Advocacy
Advocacy means helping young people to stand up for themselves and make their voices heard.

Participation
Young people have formed a group called 'Brighter Futures' which meets regularly for fun activities and planning how to improve services they use.

The Promise
The government has asked all Social Services teams across the country to make a promise about how they care for you and help you achieve.
