What was the idea behind the scheme?

The Government decided to make money available so that young people could do more in their local community.

Suffolk County Council was responsible for administering the money, available through the Youth Opportunity Fund and Youth Capital Fund to young people aged 13-19 (up to 24 with additional needs).
