If you have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities the Local Offer is something that you should know about.
Visit Suffolk’s Local Offer to find a range of local services that support children and young people with SEN and disabilities (SEND). You can find out information about schools and colleges, traineeships, apprenticeships, social care and health services in your area. You can also have a look for things that might be a bit more fun and exciting, like sports, clubs for different hobbies and other leisure activities. You will be able to see where these services are found in the county and the name of someone you can get in touch with if you want more information.
Some services will not always be suitable for every child or young person with SEND, but this will be made clear. If you’re unsure whether a service is right for you, you can always get in touch with the providers and see what conditions are supported.
To help improve provision in Suffolk, you'll be able to give your opinion on the services that you have been involved in and give your feedback, which can really make a difference. Suffolk County Council also are supporting a Young Person's Network (YPN) where young people are involved in changing the services that they receive. Find out more about the Young Person's Network and how to get involved.
The Local Offer will always be a work in progress, with services being added and updated all the time. To find out more about the Local Offer and search what's available in your area, visit: www.suffolklocaloffer.org.uk
