We all look out for friends and family in many ways. Like when we meet up with our grandparents or ask our mates, how are you?

Health and social care is ideal if you want to care for people or children in a doctor’s surgery, hospital or care home. You could look after children at play groups, be the first on the scene as a paramedic or check in patients at a health centre.

Career suggestions: care assistant, adult nurse, nursery nurse, playworker, social worker, midwife, hospital porter, health service manager, ambulance driver, social care inspector, care home manager, education welfare officer, midwife, childminder, social worker, dentist, hospital porter.

Home care is another option - supporting people to live independently in their own homes.Visit the Skills for Care website for further information about job roles and kicking off your career.
