Meet the members of Youth Parliament for Suffolk 

What does it mean to be a Member of Youth Parliament (MYP)?

Being an MYP is a very exciting opportunity. MYPs will:

  • collect and represent the views of other young people in Suffolk on issues that matter to them
  • present these issues on a local and national level
  • plan and run a campaign on the top Make Your Mark topic and based upon their manifesto points. This year it's 'Protect the Environment'. 

MYPs are politically neutral, they usually stand for a two year term.

What issues are Suffolk Youth Parliament campaigning on?

Each of these topics were voted in the top 3 priorities for young people in Suffolk in 2019 Make Your Mark ballot.

  • Knife Crime 
  • Mental Health
  • Curriculum 4 Life  - take the survey - tell us what you want on the PSHE curriculum.
